Use felt for handmade toys

Discovering handmade felt toys helped me through my tough seasons and most recently in my newborn phase. There is a special satisfaction I got out of whipping up a toy from just a few stitches and watching my daughter or my friends’ kiddos play with it right away. I love the process of needlepoint and once I got started, I could’t stop. I made everything from small animals to breakfast toys and am currently working on a mini doctor kit. All you need are felt sheets in various colours, poly-fil (or fabric scraps), and some needle and thread. Start with simple patterns online and create your own patterns and toys as you go.
