Make bookmarks with odds and ends

I collect vintage paper supplies for the sole purpose of making bookmarks in winter when I’ve exhausted all other tasks and usually around the time I start wondering why we live in such a cold place. Start by taking a piece of cardboard and cutting it to your bookmark size. start gluing on pieces of scrap paper or stickers. Try using vellum paper if you can find some as it has a beautiful washed out transparent look that works beautifully with these bookmarks. Fold your last and final paper cover over the front and tape it well in the back. Hole punch the top and add a fastener with ribbon if you’d like and you can also trim the corners for a varied look. Keep them near your stack of books or give as gifts.
