Make a story basket

Children adore stories and there is something so unique about tellings stories using props such that they’ll always remember the experience. These are mini felt animals I sewed for our story basket and I use cylinder shapes as props for people in my stories. You can make up any of your own or re-tell stories from books and old classics. In our basket, we have our small figures, along with a candle, candle snuffer, and play silk. I’ll start by lighting a candle before the story begins and once told, my daughter puts the candle out with her snuffer. Give this a try and I’m sure your children will wait patiently for story time!
