Create a Ramadan window scene

I wish you could have seen the beautiful sense of wonder in my daughters’ eyes when she saw this window scene after a snowy night. It adds lovely imagery for the young child to see a scene they can add their own stories and imagination into within their heart and mind. Who is this mother? What are her children’s names and personalities like? How is their Ramadan similar or different from ours? A whole story starts to emerge.

To make this scene, I used this image and traced it onto plain paper over my computer screen. I then cut it out and cut it out again over a piece of black construction paper. Using sharp tiny scissors is helpful.
